The Golden State Warriors dominated the Portland Trailblazers in game 4 last night to complete the series sweep. Curry scored back-to-back 30+ point performances including 7 threes in game 4. The Warriors won 128-103 and scored 45 in the first quarter, tying the playoff record for points in a playoff first quarter. The Warriors starters scored 97 points and their bench scored 31. Golden State exploded from three with 59% shooting and 17 makes from behind the arc. Without Steve Kerr Golden State held off the Blazers and became the second team to sweep in this year’s playoffs. The Warriors started the game 22-3 and ended the first quarter leading 45-22. “We knew if we threw the first punch, we knew it would overwhelm them a bit, especially being up 3-0,” Kevin Durant said after the game. Durant played in this game after missing 2 games in a row. Golden State might be without their head coach Steve Kerr for the remainder of the playoffs due to an ailing back. The Warriors will either face the Clippers or the Jazz next round.
