Warriors Move On

The Golden State Warriors moved on to the NBA Finals on Monday night after defeating the San Antonio Spurs 129-115, completing the sweep of the Spurs. Golden State hasn’t lost in the NBA playoffs, they are 12-0 headed into the Finals. Steph Curry picked up a nice 36 points and Durant scored 29. The Warriors shot 56% overall with 53 rebounds, 30 assists, and 14 threes. The Spurs played well though, making mini runs that got the lead down to 10 or 11 at times. They had 56 bench points to the Warriors’ 32. But the Warriors starting lineup out scored the Spurs starters. Manu Ginobili may have played his last career game on Monday. I my opinion he should be a hall-of-famer. Kyle Anderson scored 20 off the bench for San Antonio. “It’s great to be one of the last two teams standing, we’ll see how it goes,” said Kevin Durant after the game. “An amazing competitor, even more fun playing against him,” Durant also said after Monday’s game about Manu Ginobili. The Warriors have won the last 5 games now against San Antonio, they will go to their 3rd straight NBA Finals. Golden State is 1-1 in their last 2 Finals.
