On Thursday night we got Warriors vs Cavs in the finals for the 3rd time in a row. There has never been the same teams three times in a row in the NBA finals. In 2015 the Warriors won 4-2. In 2016 the Cavaliers won 4-3. And after game one the Warriors look incredible. The Golden State Warriors defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 113-91. Kevin Durant took over in this game with 38 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists. Steph Curry also contributed with 28 points, 10 assists, and 6 threes. Klay Thompson had another rough shooting night with 6 points and shooting 3 for 16 overall. LeBron James was playing in his 7th straight NBA finals. He ended game one though with 8 turnovers. That is double the amount of turnovers Golden State had. The Warriors finished the game with a total of 4 turnovers. LeBron did have a good game though, with 28 points and 15 rebounds. Tristan Thompson didn’t even score in this game. The Warriors outscored Cleveland by 8 in the first half and by 14 in the second half. Kevin Love grabbed a incredible 21 rebounds in game one. Another interesting stat was that the Warriors got 12 steals and the Cavs had none, also for every Warriors turnover the Cavs had 5 turnovers. Golden State finished with 31 assists and 43% shooting. Golden State now leads in the finals 1-0. “They’re the best I’ve seen,” Cavalier’s coach Tyronn Lue said after the game one blow out. Game 2 of the 2017 NBA Finals is on Sunday at 7pm CT on ABC.
