All-NBA Teams

The All-NBA teams are here. The best players from this NBA season will be on these teams. Players who are on these teams are more likely to get a bonus in pay if they resign with their team. And there are only three of these teams so lets get into them!

ALL-NBA FIRST TEAM:

Guards: Russell Westbrook, James Harden.

Forwards: Kawhi Leonard, LeBron James. I think that Kevin Durant should be in place of Kawhi Leonard, Durant is better on offense and he is doing great on defense and his team won 67 games.

Center: Anthony Davis.

ALL-NBA SECOND TEAM:

Guards: Stephen Curry, Isaiah Thomas.

Forwards: Kevin Durant, Giannas Antetokounmpo.

Center: Rudy Gobert.

ALL-NBA THIRD TEAM:

Guards: John Wall, DeMar DeRozen.

Forwards: Jimmy Butler, Draymond Green.

Center: DeAndre Jordan. I think DeMarcus Cousins or Marc Gasol should have gotten in here over Jordan because Cousins scored a lot and same with rebounding and did well, but his team did bad. Gasol scored great, rebounded well and played some defense as well.

These are the All-NBA Teams. Paul George didn’t make the teams so that could put his future with Indiana in jeopardy. Same with Gordon Hayward.

Warriors Domination

warriorrs copyThe Golden State Warriors dominated the Portland Trailblazers in game 4 last night to complete the series sweep. Curry scored back-to-back 30+ point performances including 7 threes in game 4. The Warriors won 128-103 and scored 45 in the first quarter, tying the playoff record for points in a playoff first quarter. The Warriors starters scored 97 points and their bench scored 31. Golden State exploded from three with 59% shooting and 17 makes from behind the arc. Without Steve Kerr Golden State held off the Blazers and became the second team to sweep in this year’s playoffs. The Warriors started the game 22-3 and ended the first quarter leading 45-22. “We knew if we threw the first punch, we knew it would overwhelm them a bit, especially being up 3-0,” Kevin Durant said after the game. Durant played in this game after missing 2 games in a row. Golden State might be without their head coach Steve Kerr for the remainder of the playoffs due to an ailing back. The Warriors will either face the Clippers or the Jazz next round.

Exciting Weekend for the Playoffs

First: The Grizzlies beat the Spurs in game 4 off a Marc Gasol buzzer beater. Second: Stephen Curry led the Warriors to a road victory by 6 against the Blazers in game 3. Third: The Cavaliers won off of a missed shot by Paul George to win the series. And Fourth: The Houston Rockets extended their lead over OKC to 3-1 as they won by some OKC missed free throws and some made free throws by Houston.

For me the most exciting game was the Houston vs OKC game. Steven Adams perfectly missed a free throw and then kicked it out to Westbrook for a deep three to give them hope of winning. For me that was the most exciting part of the game, but Houston did come back to win from down 12 in the third. But OKC might not be done yet. We saw Golden State come back from down 3-1 to beat the Thunder last year in the West Finals, and we also saw Cleveland become the first team to come back from down 3-1 to win the NBA Finals. So they might not be done yet.

Back to Indiana now for the first series win of the playoffs. Cleveland beat the Indiana Pacers in game 4 to clinch the first round series. LeBron James and Kyrie Irving combined for 61 points. James played 44 minutes and scored 33. The Cleveland Cavaliers ended the game with only 11 assists 29% shooting from three. I don’t feel like 11 assists will get you past a lot of teams, except the Pacers. But Cleveland moves on to play either the Bucks or the Raptors.

Those were my favorite games from last weekend in the NBA Playoffs, comment on your favorite games upcoming or past! For me I can’t wait for the NBA Finals, 37 day countdown starts now!

Warriors vs Blazers recap

Warriors 121-109 Blazers. The Portland Trailblazers played incredibly as they kept up with the Golden State Warriors for three quarters. The fourth quarter was all Warriors though as they outscored the Blazers 33-21. CJ McCollum was unbelievable, scoring 41 points and 8 rebounds. But Draymond Green stole the show from McCollum, as he collected 19 points, 12 rebounds, 9 assists, 5 blocks, and 3 steals. Green played great on the defensive end as he had one of his best defensive games ever. Durant and Curry both shined as they combined for 61 points and 15 rebounds. Game two is in Oracle Arena, Oakland as the Warriors try to extend their lead to 2-0.
